Vitamin D is also very important vitamin like all the fat soluble vitamins in routine diet. But it is not very much available in normal day diet. It is found in body as prehormone and generated in body by exposure of skin to sunlight. This prehormone is present in skin and it is regulated by exposure of it to skin and then it develops into Vitamin D to work in body as it was targeted to do. There are also Vitamin D supplements and fortified milk available in market if some one has developed resistance to production of this vitamin in body due to some sun block or genetic change.

Vitamin D toxicity is not very common as medical problem but if the supplemented food with Vitamin D is taken in excess then it can cause sever toxicity. The symptom of this Vitamin D toxicity, caused by Vitamin D overdose, is over absorption of calcium that can leave the pain in joints. This calcium that is overly absorbed can stay in any organ and cause death of many cells and sometimes leads to death of individual.

Americans and Europeans are suffering from sever vitamin deficiency problem as well. Because Europe life style restricts them too much away from sun light and less Vitamin D production leads to Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency symptoms are that if Vitamin D is not provided by sunlight due to any strict reasons then a person should regularly take food with Vitamin D.
